Professional Category (male or female) 6 minute time limit. Middle Eastern music only (no alternative music). Promotes or advertises self as a teacher or professional performer. Zills/Sagat are required and must be played during some part of the performance. Other props may be used but are not required and will not be given extra points for their use. $80 entry fee Entry Form

Emerald (Live Music Professional)

Live music professional, (male or female) approx. 6 minute time limit. Promotes or advertises self as a teacher or professional performer. You will not be able to discuss your sets with the musicians. This is improvisation. Zills/Sagat are not required, but may be used. Other props may be used, but are not required. Please do not contact the band (TBA), you will not be allowed to pick your music set. $80 entry fee Entry Form

Pearl (Live Music Non-Professional)

Live music Non-professional category (male or female) approx. 6 minute time limit. Does not perform for money on a regular basis and does not teach. This is improvisation. Zills/Sagat are not required, but may be used. Other props may be used, but are not required. Please do not contact the band (TBA), you will not be allowed to pick your music set. $80 entry fee

Ruby (Troupes)

4 or more dancers, 7 minute time limit, performance of any style of Bellydance, traditional/tribal/folkloric. All dancers must be dancing through entire performance except for short transitions and no solos will be allowed. Zills/Sagat are not required, but many be used. Other props may be used but are not required. No fire please. $120 entry fee ($120 for first 4 dancers, $20 each additional dancer) Entry Form

Topaz (Duets/Trios)

Duets and Trios (2 or 3 performers together), performance of any style of Bellydance, Traditional/Tribal/folkloric. 7 minute time limit. All dancers must be dancing through entire performance except for short transitions and no solos will be allowed. Zills/Sagat are not required, but may be used. Other props may be used, but are not required. No fire please. $120 entry fee

Crystal (Tribal/Fusion/Alternative)

Soloist in American Tribal Style, Improvisational Tribal Style, Tribal Fusion bellydance, and Alternative bellydance styles. You can fuse different music (alternative/fusion/Middle Eastern) and dance styles with Bellydance. 50% of your show must be Bellydance movements. Props are ok, no fire. Have fun and be creative! 6 minute time limit. $80 entry fee Entry Form

Opal (Got Props?)

This is a theatrical property (Props) category. All props are allowed in this category. At least 50% of the set must be Middle Eastern music and dance. Open to all levels and ages. 6 minute time limit. Props can be: canes, tahtib, sword, veil, finger cymbals, shamadan, dancing on a drum or goblets, isis wings, fan veils, veil poi (voi), etc. NO fire please. Any # of props used is ok. You will be judged on technique, transitions and uniqueness. $80 entry fee
